What you'll do
As an Event Manager on the Global Events team, you will lead the planning and execution of B2G events. You will manage the full event lifecycle including translating business priorities into actionable event plans and overseeing logistics, budgeting, and onsite operations to ensure each event delivers exceptional experiences and measurable business impact. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, operate with high autonomy, and keep projects moving smoothly by proactively managing timelines, risks, and deliverables. You will use our established operational frameworks to boost efficiency, reduce risk, and help us scale a consistent, high-quality global event portfolio. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Global Events.
Note the work location is US-Remote but must be located in the Eastern Standard time zone.
The day-to-day
- Partner with business and marketing teams to define event objectives, KPI's, and success frameworks aligned to business priorities.
- Develop detailed event plans, experience design, timelines, and execution models that guide end-to-end delivery.
- Serve as primary advisor and point of contact for internal stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle; Facilitate decision-making, manage expectations, and align teams on goals, risks, and deliverables to ensure event readiness.
- Own event-level budgets, forecasting, and reconciliations with a mindset of stewardship; Track optimization opportunities and cost-to-serve improvements.
- Oversee all event logistics and ensure execution excellence and consistency with Viasat brand, quality, and experience standards.
- Manage attendee communications, registration, hotel blocks, and meeting scheduling processes.
- Source, select, and manage vendor partners and suppliers, ensuring expectations, timelines, and deliverables are clearly communicated and proactively address issues or delays to protect event schedules.
- Manage supplier contract and SOW negotiations to maximize value, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
- Serve as lead for onsite event operations to include vendor oversight, troubleshooting high-impact issues, and ensuring seamless attendee and stakeholder experiences.
- Maintain accurate event documentation, file management, and post-event reconciliation.
- Develop event-level performance evaluations and translate insights into recommendations that support future event strategy and continuous program improvement
- Apply standardized CoE processes, tools, and quality benchmarks to ensure consistency and scalability across the global event portfolio.
- Serve as Viasat brand ambassador.
What you'll need
- 7-10 years of event management experience delivering mid-to large-scale global corporate programs
- Based in the Eastern Standard time zone
- Proven ability to independently lead event strategy, planning, and execution.
- Strong mastery of event operations, logistics, experiential design, and production fundamentals.
- Substantial project management and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and complex logistics simultaneously.
- High attention to detail, operational excellence, time management, and creative problem solving.
- Strong financial acumen including budget ownership and vendor negotiations.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Proficient in event management, travel, and procurement tools.
- Ability to travel up to 50% for onsite support.

Salary range
$79,000.00 - $124,000.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $97,500.00- $146,500.00/ annually
