The Event Manager, Philanthropy - Intermediate independently delivers a broad range of philanthropy services functions while applying judgment, technical skill, and problem‑solving to support donor engagement, operational effectiveness, and program execution. This role serves as a key execution partner within a small team, with primary responsibility for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of a high‑volume portfolio of foundation events ranging from intimate donor gatherings to mid‑scale experiences. Owns end‑to‑end event logistics including vendor coordination, catering, invitations, RSVP tracking, budget development, and on‑site execution, while serving as a visible, engaging presence with donors and stakeholders. Collaborates closely with foundation leadership, development teams, and system partners to ensure events align with fundraising priorities and deliver high‑quality, mission‑aligned experiences.

Manages moderately complex processes, leads workstreams, and ensures data accuracy, compliance, and donor‑ready deliverables while strengthening the overall donor experience. Designs and supports engagement and stewardship activities, maintains donor records, and executes reporting and data processes that inform strategy. Tracks performance metrics, including event ROI, and contributes insights to improve outcomes. Supports gift processing, prospect research, and donor communications.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires working knowledge of fundraising software (i.e. Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
  • Requires proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience with a matrix organization and complex work environment is preferred.
