Job Summary
We are seeking professional and reliable Event Security Officers to join our team on a per diem basis. In this role, your primary responsibility is to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and vendors during events.
Event Security Officers will be responsible for maintaining a visible presence, managing access control, and responding to incidents as they arise. The ideal candidate is professional, alert, and capable of handling high-traffic environments with strong customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Maintain a strong and visible security presence throughout the event
Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized individuals gain access
Perform bag checks and credential verification as required
Assist with crowd control and ensure orderly conduct of guests
Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
De-escalate conflicts in a calm and professional manner
Communicate effectively with event staff, management, and local authorities if needed
Monitor assigned areas to identify and report suspicious activity
Complete incident reports and required documentation
Qualifications
Previous experience in security, event staff, or a related field preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure in fast-paced environments
High level of integrity and professionalism
Strong observational skills and attention to detail
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
