Job Type: Seasonal, NON-EXEMPT

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour 

Work Location: In-person (Greater Sacramento Area)

Position Overview

As an Event Security Guard at Diligence Security Group, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment during high-profile events in the Bay Area. We are looking for professional, customer-focused individuals based in Sacramento and surrounding areas who can commute using the free shuttle transportation provided from our Sacramento location to event venues.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or higher education in any discipline.
• Prior military or law enforcement experience is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

• Valid California BSIS Guard Card License (required).
• Valid CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (preferred).
• Strong ability to de-escalate situations effectively.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively and identify critical issues quickly.
• Active listening and situational awareness skills.
• Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards.

Position Duties

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Manage entry procedures, including ticket scanning, ID verification, bag searches, and metal detector screening.
• Monitor large crowds and direct foot traffic to maintain order.
• De-escalate disturbances calmly and promptly.
• Report suspicious activity to supervisors and fellow guards.
• Patrol entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access.
• Respond to emergencies such as medical situations, fires, or other hazards.
• Enforce event policies and safety protocols.
• Document incidents and prepare detailed reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to move for prolonged periods to conduct inspections
• Ability to bend, crouch, climb, or kneel as needed
• Ability to lift or adjust objects up to 100 pounds
• Adaptability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions
