Position Summary

About the SUB:
The Student Union Building is a big part of campus life - it's a fun, fast-paced, and high-energy work environment where students are able to make connections, collaborate with one another, and have memorable experiences. Position Summary:
The SUB is looking for a candidate that can begin SUMMER 2026. This position is responsible for the setup and tear-down of tables, chairs, stages, drapes, etc., as well as setup and tear-down of audio-visual equipment including microphones, laptops, speakers, mixers, etc., within spaces of the Student Union Building. This role requires a candidate who can lift, push, pull, and manipulate 30lbs, has strong communication skills, and can work early mornings, late nights, and weekends. Duties and Responsibilities:
Adherence to Student Union Employee Handbook guidelines.
Set up and tear-down of audio-visual equipment.
Set up and tear-down of chairs, tables, stages, podiums, etc.
Works with the Building Manager and follows their directions regarding pace, prioritization, and aesthetics.
Perform minor audio-visual repairs/troubleshooting.
Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment; ensuring all equipment is returned to the appropriate storage area when not in use.
Ensure that all equipment is always in fully operational condition and report any problems to the supervisor.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Basic computer skills.
Ability to have a calm and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn audio-visual equipment and troubleshooting.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and manipulate heavy objects of at least 30lbs.
Must be able to work a minimum of 20hrs per week, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
