Internal Job Title: Event Specialist

No FTE conversion for this role; operates like an NSA role for tenure with no tenure limit.
Minimum requirement of 6 events a year, which can occur during the week or on weekends.
Events can be anywhere in Southern California.
Time and mileage can be expensed; hotel/meals provided for distant events.
Preferred Qualifications: Reliable transportation, upbeat personality, able to lift 25 pounds, Asian-speaking candidates preferred.
High school diploma required.
Client to provide all needed event equipment; candidate must have their own reliable vehicle.
Qualifications
One year of experience preferred in sales, marketing, customer service, promotional marketing, teaching, communications, talent representation, on-camera work, or related fields.
Previous promotional or event marketing experience preferred.
Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences and represent the company professionally.
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, flexibility, and strong work ethic.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Ability to attract, engage, and educate customers.
Must be able to walk up to five miles per day and lift 45 pounds as needed.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to transport event materials when required.
Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional weekdays.
Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese preferred. Proficiency in Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese, or Tagalog is highly desirable.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must sign a photo and video release authorization.
Responsibilities
Serve as a Client brand ambassador at community and promotional events to increase awareness, participation, and engagement in company programs and services.
Interact with customers on-site, providing information and promoting program benefits.
Support event demonstrations, field marketing activities, and customer engagement initiatives.
Assist with event setup, dismantling, and transportation of materials, including pick-up and drop-off as needed.
Collaborate with corporate and field marketing teams to support customized outreach programs and event objectives.
Engage with diverse customer populations to effectively promote programs and services.
Partner with Client employees, third-party program representatives, and external agencies to increase customer awareness and participation.
Work on an as-needed basis; hours may vary based on event schedules.
Support weekend events with occasional weekday assignments.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
