Summary

Supports aquatic events such as collegiate and age-group swim and dive meets or other facility rentals.

Essential Functions

  • Assists with elements of event planning such as event setup, operation, and teardown.
  • Physical setup and teardown for aquatic events such as swim meets, water polo tournaments, dive meets, special events, student engagement activities, inflatable rentals, etc.
  • Serve as a liaison to participants, coaches, and officials and learn working knowledge of timing system and physical setup.
  • Ensure overall pool safety maintenance and cleanliness which may include accurately testing and recording water quality, assuring chemical balance, maintaining aquatic facility equipment, and assisting with special events.
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure safe operation of aquatic events.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess and display professional mannerisms, alertness, and a friendly demeanor.
  • Willingness to learn to set up and operate swimming competition timing system.
  • Willingness to learn to accurately test and record water quality.
  • Willingness to learn to assist in operation of special events.
