Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Events and Sponsorship Manager for a mission-driven international nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding opportunities for young people through education, employment, and personal development initiatives. This is a hybrid opportunity based in New York, NY, requiring a minimum of four days per week in the office.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Events and Sponsorship Manager will lead the planning and execution of high-profile fundraising, donor cultivation, and programmatic events while developing and managing strategic corporate sponsorships. This role partners closely with executive leadership, donors, sponsors, vendors, and internal teams to deliver exceptional event experiences that advance the organization's mission and fundraising goals. The ideal candidate is a collaborative project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building lasting relationships that drive meaningful impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute fundraising, donor cultivation, and special events from concept through successful completion, including logistics, budgets, timelines, onsite execution, and post-event reporting.
  • Develop and manage corporate sponsorship opportunities by identifying prospects, preparing proposals, cultivating relationships, and ensuring fulfillment of sponsor benefits.
  • Coordinate with vendors, venues, caterers, production teams, and other event partners to deliver seamless, high-quality experiences.
  • Manage event marketing materials, guest communications, donor records, RSVPs, and reporting using Salesforce and other event management platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership, creative teams, volunteers, and international partners to ensure successful event planning and execution.
  • Monitor event performance, fundraising outcomes, and sponsorship results while recommending strategies for continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated success managing fundraising, nonprofit, corporate, or large-scale events from planning through execution.
  • Experience developing and maintaining corporate sponsorships and strategic external partnerships.
  • Strong project management, budget oversight, vendor negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM and event management platforms to manage data and reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
