Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Events Assistant to join our growing team in Detroit, MI. This position plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of events from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized team player with excellent communication and time management skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and organizing events, including logistics, timelines, and vendor coordination
- Support on-site event execution and troubleshooting
- Maintain and update event schedules, budgets, and documentation
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth operations
- Prepare materials, presentations, and follow-up reports
- Assist in managing event inventory and supplies
- Conduct site visits and assist with venue arrangements
- Provide administrative support as needed to the Events Manager
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
- 1-2 years of experience in event coordination or administrative support (internships considered)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
