Events Cook In The Beer Hall At Surly Brewing

Surly hosts events that guests will always remember. And a big part of that is our food. We are looking for an Events Cook in the Beer Hall at Surly Brewing! Our ideal candidate is someone with a passion for food and providing experiences. This role will work closely with our Events Chef for events in our private spaces in the Beer Hall. Compensation range is $20-25/hr. Full benefits include medical/dental, 401k with match, paid time off, FREE beer and more.

• You have a passion for cooking
• Excellent knife and other food preparation skills
• You have experience cooking in a high-volume from scratch restaurant setting
• You are highly organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks
• Works well under pressure
• You are a motivated individual who requires little to no supervision
• You accept direction and constructive criticism from management
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment
• You are a team-player who can perform other duties assigned as needed
• Open availability
• Punctuality
• Possessing a positive and flexible attitude at work
• Self-starting, must be able to work independently, with or without supervision
• Working cleanly, always keeping the station organized
• Willingness to be cross trained in other kitchen areas of the kitchen
• Spanish a plus but not required
• The ability to communicate in a fast-moving environment
