Job Title: Events Coordinator

Location: Chicago Loop

Schedule- 2 days in office to start, 3 days in office in January

Duration- Temporary - Start end of September - Ends August 2027

Hourly Rate- $21/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized and passionate Events Coordinator to plan and execute engaging events that support our nonprofit’s mission. The Events Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning, including logistics, vendor management, volunteer coordination, and community outreach. This role will work closely with various teams to create events that raise awareness, drive support, and foster relationships within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events, community outreach programs, and awareness campaigns.
• Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, transportation, and equipment.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to ensure smooth event operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure events align with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Manage event budgets and track expenses to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Promote events through social media, email marketing, and community partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, health, and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience in event planning or coordination, preferably in a nonprofit or social services setting.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Passion for community service and the nonprofit sector.
