    Job Summary

    The Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Events Manager with planning, coordinating, and executing events, including CHOC internal events, executive events, Marketing and Communications department events, and supporting select department needs (including CHOC Institutes, HR, Child Life). May be required to travel to off-site events and work evenings & weekends if needed.

    Pay Range

    Minimum $24.25 Midpoint $32.12 Maximum $39.99

    Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

    Position Details

    This is a full-time, non-benefitted TEMPORARY position supporting the CHOC Foundation through Spring 2027.

    Experience

    • Required: Minimum three (3) years of event management experience. 

    • Preferred: Previous experience in the healthcare, non-profit or family targeted business. 

    Education

    • Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.

    • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, hospitality, PR/Communications, or related area. 

    Training

    • Required: None required.

    Specialized Skills

    • Required: Proven experience as an events planner or organizer. Must have great interpersonal and presentation skills. Strong writing skills. Excellent time management and communication skills. Must have the ability to build productive business relationships. Ability to manage multiple projects independently. MS Office proficiency. Display utmost professionalism when dealing with key influencers and consumers. 

    • Preferred: Self-directed, flexible, and adaptable. 

    Licensure

    • Required: Driver’s License – Class C.

    Work Environments - Functional Demand:

    Sedentary - Very light energy level Lift 10 lbs. box overhead. Lift and carry 15 lbs. Push/pull 20 lbs. cart.

    Bending, Carry Objects, Climbing, Keyboard use/repetitive motion, Pinching/fine motor activities, Push/Pull, Reaching forward, Reaching overhead, Sitting, Squat/kneel/crawl (Squad & Knee), Standing, Talk or hear, Taste or smell, Twisting, Walking, Wrist position deviation

    Physical Activity Lifting

    Lifting (Floor to waist level) - Occasional 0-35%, Lifting (Waist level and above) - Occasional 0-35%
