Job Description:

The Events, Outreach, and Multimedia Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of CCT programs and events, including conferences, workshops, lectures, forums, visitor activities, and outreach initiatives. This role manages event logistics such as scheduling, reservations, catering, and vendor coordination while providing audiovisual and multimedia support for in-person, hybrid, and recorded programming. The coordinator also maintains CCT's digital communications by updating website content, visual displays, and event announcements to ensure timely promotion of center activities.

Job Responsibilities

Events & Outreach: Coordinate CCT event activities, including managing logistical aspects of project planning, tracking, and implementation of CCT events such as international and national conferences, workshops, lectures, forums, visitor activities, outreach initiatives, and other special events. Serve as the primary point of contact for CCT event logistics, including reservations, scheduling, catering coordination, vendor communication, and space management. (40%)

AV Services: Manage AV, multimedia, and digital communication needs for CCT programs, seminars, lectures, and events. Coordinate AV services, equipment, and resource scheduling to ensure successful event execution. Provide technical support for event logistics, presentations, and hybrid or recorded programming. Assist with technology and logistical support for CCT summer camps, workshops, and related programming. (35%)

Content Management: Manage and update CCT website, intranet, and visual displays to promote seminars, lectures, and events. Maintain current CCT news and event information online. Coordinate, create and distribute event announcements to faculty and staff including graphics and flyers. Maintain documentation related to event support systems and center operations, applying continuous improvement and change management practices to keep information accurate and up to date. (10%)

Administration: Train and oversee graduate assistants and student workers in supporting audiovisual (AV) needs for CCT events and programs. Provide guidance on AV setup, equipment use, and event support procedures. Assist with coordinating AV resources and maintaining equipment inventory. (10%)

Other duties as assigned by supervisor. (5%)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience. Knowledge of CCT operating environment and LSU systems and procedures. Experience with content management, digital communications, and student staff supervision preferred.
