Position Information:

NWHSU's Continuing Education department is seeking a Events & Program Coordinator to support planning, coordination, and delivery of virtual, hybrid, and in-person events. This role helps ensure high-quality learner and speaker experiences through effective event logistics, customer service, and operational support, whileassisting with student worker coordination and campus partnerships. In addition, the role supports key post-event functions such as processing certifications and transcripts.The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to providing excellent service while contributing to successful event outcomes.

Work Location: Bloomington, MN with flexibility to work 1-2 days per week remotely; must live local and be able to come to campus as needed.

Duties:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact across systems for learners, instructors, and partners for registration, CE credits, program details, and general support, providing high-quality customer service.
  • Communicate proactively with participants, including confirmations, reminders, updates, recalls, and post-event follow-up.
  • Provide real-time support during events, including troubleshooting technical and access issues.
  • Collect Participant feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Assist with planning and event logistics including scheduling, room reservations, space coordination, and date availability checks.
  • Coordinate with facilities, IT, and other campus partners to support event/program setup.
  • Provide day-of-event support including participant communication and coordination, registration tables, attendance tracking, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate program listings and event setup within systems.
  • Assist with internal event request processes, forms, and workflow tracking.
  • Participate in shared team coverage for evening, weekend, and high-volume events.

What you need to have?

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred (e.g., Communications, Hospitality or Event Management, Business Administration, or Education).
  • 1–3 years experience in areas such as customer service, event coordination, higher education support, or administrative operations.
  • Experience supporting virtual and/or in-person programs, including event coordination, participant communications, registration processes, or learning platforms.
  • Familiarity with CRM, learning management, or event management systems (e.g., Enrole, Academy of Mine), preferred.

Compensation:

$45,300.00 - $55,500.00 annually.
