ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Phoenix Convention Center and Venues host a diverse range of conventions, trade shows, meetings, and entertainment events in one of the premier convention facilities in the United States. We are committed to delivering the highest levels of customer service and guest experience in the industry. We enhance the economic vitality of the downtown area, the city of Phoenix, and the state of Arizona by supporting tourism-related industries, businesses, and cultural organizations.
This position coordinates and directs the work of event support personnel including ushers, security guards, caterers, decorators, and temporary labor working on contract with the Phoenix Convention Center. Duties include ensuring that chairs, tables, stages and sound equipment are set-up to meet the clients needs and the facilitys lease requirements; explaining policies and procedures to client tenants and the general public; and opening and securing the facility before and after events.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
SALARY
Pay Range: $20.51 - $35.08 per hour.
Hiring Range: $20.51 - $22.61 per hour.
Pay Range Explanation:
Internal Only: Please understand that this is pay grade 343. If selected, your salary offer will be based on the applicable promotion or demotion worksheet in accordance with the City Pay Ordinance.

BENEFITS
Part-time employees are eligible for earned paid sick time, city training, and free or discounted bus and light rail fares.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid drivers license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.
