Resers Fine Foods - Job Description Title: Events Specialist Location: Corporate Reports to: Corporate HR Manager Classification: Exempt

Job Summary The Events Specialist organizes and executes a variety of large-scale events as well as boutique style events designed to promote Resers as an Employer of Choice.

Essential Position Functions: • Plans and coordinates employee events which may include holiday celebrations, summer picnics, employee appreciation events, retirement celebrations, and milestone anniversary celebrations for the corporate office. • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop event budgets manage to the established budgets. • Schedules venues, food, beverage, equipment, entertainment, and other logistical requirements for events including managing relevant contracts. • Works with plant locations to provide event guidelines and ensure a collaborative and consistent approach. • Provides clear communication on events and activities, promoting participation. • Solicits support from others to ensure events are adequately staffed and supported. • Ensures operations run smoothly on the day of events, including participating in set-up, tear-down, and facilitation of any equipment. • Provides oversight and administrative management of anniversary award program (OC Tanner). • Manages the Resers Cares Budget with the manufacturing facilities and Corporate Office. Resolves discrepancies and ensures compliance with policies. • Monitors and processes check requests for the Resers Cares Initiative, completing due diligence on non-profit organizations recommended for funding and support. • Manages YTD Resers Cares spending at manufacturing and corporate facilities. Provides budget updates, and coordinates communication with local Resers Cares Teams. • Manages company newsletter, collecting relevant stories, updates and content and working with vendors develop and publish bi-annually. • Manages equitable distribution of tickets for company sponsored activities and other events to support employee recognition. • Provides event support for philanthropic or community events.

Education and Experience: High school diploma required, Associate degree in hospitality or related field preferred or 5+ years of event planning experience. 3+ years of non-profit charity donation experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Knowledge of events catering functions. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to manage to timelines and deadlines. • Planning and prioritization skills • Requires initiative and ability to be successful under limited supervision. • Must have excellent PC skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. • English/Spanish bilingual a plus.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions • Work will require bending and lifting up to 50lbs as part of set up for events. • Weekend and/or evening work may be periodically required based on business needs. • Local travel required, overnight travel up to 10%.

Exempt only: This position is eligible for a bonus based on company goals/performance.
