ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Events Staff - Guest Services is a seasonal, as needed per event position to assist guests during raceway events. They will be the primary point of contact for fans attending events at the raceway and able to assist customers in a positive and professional manner.

This is done by holding themselves and their teammates accountable for taking our best practices "the last mile" - optimizing them for maximum value to all of our stakeholders while sharing insights on how to improve our company. The ideal candidate will also be a productive and proactive self-starter who is passionate about his/her duties and willing to put forth the extra effort to achieve excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greeting guests as they enter the property
Answering questions in a friendly and accurate manner
Provide aid to fans with special needs
Checking credentials and tickets and monitoring seating and hospitality areas
Ensure all guests and personnel are following raceway policies and procedures
Support other raceway event staff
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to take on a multitude of roles to ensure guests have a positive experience
Strong verbal communication
Easy-going and able to work as part of a team
Work in various environmental conditions, including loud noises and the heat
Must have the ability to adjust to changing work locations and be placed as needed
Some Guest Services may be asked to stand for extended periods of time and may be asked to walk up and downstairs
Schedule:
Sonoma Raceway holds events for 340 days per year. Whether big or small, many events need Guest Services support for clients renting the track.
All personnel will be contacted if there is a request for staffing and given the opportunity to sign up for a position. Individuals can choose to work as many or as few days as their interest or schedule allows with a cap of 29 hours per week.
PAY RATE: $17/ hr
