EVS Attendant (Housekeeping)

Full Time

The primary objective of the Environmental Services(EVS) department is to be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of the casino. Duties include vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, cleaning restrooms, emptying ash trays, and other routine cleaning duties. Must be friendly and reliable, available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, and have the ability to walk, stand, and maneuver without assistance throughout an 8-hour shift. Regular and punctual attendance and reliable transportation are required for this position. Must be 18 years or older. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus! Prior Housekeeping experience preferred.

1. Minimum of high school graduate or equivalent
2. Use of all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for spreadsheet, reporting, and presentation development
3. Ability to have a flexible schedule to provide for Casino requirements
4. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a high stress/profile environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Perform cleaning duties in all areas of the facility including; but not limited to; cleaning, sweeping, mopping, washing, waxing, polishing, vacuuming, and spot, stain or dirt removal of all floors, rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies, dusting, scrubbing, sanitizing, and buffing including using some machinery as required such as vacuums or floor cleaners

2. Maintain cleanliness of all areas including picking up litter, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning ashtrays, and removal and transport of garbage

3. Clean all walls, ceilings, doors, windows, sills, furniture, woodwork, and fixtures in all areas of the facility

4. Clean and service restrooms including replenishing bathroom supplies

5. Stock and supply all service areas with appropriate cleaning supplies

6. Assist all departments by responding to housekeeping calls

7. Clean and maintain tables, chairs, fixtures, décor, and machines as needed

8. Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed

9. Adhere to all company policies and procedures

10. Adhere to all gaming laws and regulations

11. Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner including use of appropriate personal protective equipment where applicable and keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris, and litter

12. Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements

13. Any job duty needed to promote productivity in the efficient administration of business or any reasonable request made by your supervisor or management personnel

14. Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position
