ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Knowledgeable in general cleaning procedures of patient rooms and common areas throughout the Hospital.
- Knowledgeable of chemicals and floor cleaning.
- Responsible for adequate stock levels of linen and cleaning supplies.
- Responsible for filling and/or working positions when needed.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, hospital employees, and administration.
- Maintain high level of patient satisfaction for facility cleanliness and appearance.
- Manage the department in a professional manner that complies with CMS requirements.
- Function as supervisory leader for all EVS staff.
- Maintain adequate stocking of linens and supplies for clinics and departments.
- Remove waste and soiled linens using proper disposal procedures.
- Operate housekeeping mechanical equipment.
- Arrange and conduct in-service education and new staff training for night shift as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITIES:
- Ability to read, write and speak English preferred.
- General knowledge of sanitation in a hospital and clinical setting.
- Ability to interview potential employees.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Work Experience - One to three years prior cleaning experience in a health care or institutional setting preferred.

ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.
