As a Environmental Services Coordinator you will work in partnership with the Blue Skies Environmental Services Manager to ensure the cleanliness of Blue Skies of Texas East. Employee will be assigned housekeeping duties to include cleaning of residential homes/apartments, common areas, guestrooms and any other assigned area. Coordinator will assist in training of new employees following Blue Skies of Texas Guidelines. Ensures housekeeping services of resident homes/apartments, common areas, guest rooms, community center rooms, dining services, and laundry services, are being maintained during the absence of the EVS Manager. Will be trained on driving a golf cart if not already in compliance. Coordinates with custodial staff to ensure carpet and floor care services are performed according to schedule and room set-up support is provided for resident activities/meetings. Coordinate with Laundry services staff to ensure laundry services guestrooms are performed according to schedule. Assists in enforcing departmental and Blue Skies safety policies and performs routine inspections to ensure compliance with governing directives.

Work Schedule: Core work hours are from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm; however, special projects or assignments may require working additional hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be on call 24-hours a day to respond to emergencies and resolve other time-critical issues.
Work Location: Primary office is located in the Blue Skies West Main Building.
In 1970, the first of our two campuses opened in San Antonio. Air Force Village I was followed in 1987 by Air Force Village II. For decades, our campuses created a community for officers of the armed forces - a retirement lifestyle rich with camaraderie and the shared common bond. We began by providing support to the widows of those who have served, and that legacy continues. In 2014, we expanded our eligibility to embrace a wider range of retired seniors, including those from civilian careers. With this change, a new name - Blue Skies of Texas - was added, and the campuses were renamed Blue Skies East and Blue Skies West. Continuing to offer modern residences and a range of senior-focused services and amenities, the Air Force Village legacy we cherish carries forward in Blue Skies of Texas.
