Facilities/EVS Supervisor Reports to: Facilities/EVS Manager Job Summary: The facility/EVS supervisor coordinates work assignments and supervise maintenance and EVS workers in maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings, and grounds in addition to overseeing the cleaning of the buildings. In addition, ensures valet area is maintaining a customer centric focus. Duties/Responsibilities: Plan, prioritize, and assign work orders to maintenance and EVS workers. Supervises the activities of maintenance and EVS workers, ensuring safety and sanitation procedures are followed at all times. Verifies that repairs are completed safely, corrected, following approved methods in a timely manner. Procure tools, equipment, and supplies, based on project needs. Interpret and disseminate company policy to employees, enforcing company policy and practices. Provide support to facilities manager to analyze and resolve work problems. Provide training and resources to team members, in order to improve skillsets. Assists the Facility/EVS Manager to ensure the valet staff are greeting guests in a timely fashion while providing superior guest service experience. Ensures staff creates a positive relationship through consistent delivery of customer service to all guests and co-workers. Ensures staff maintains a clean, neat work environment including all surrounding areas of property including but not limited to the gaming floor, valet, parking area, trash receptacles and ash urns. May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property. Ensures proper training and safe storage of cleaning supplies along with safety training guidelines. Create budget for each project and report expenditures, material lists, and inventory counts. Perform oversight of timekeeping for direct reports. Conduct employee reviews. Required to have weekend and nightshift availability. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Prior supervisor experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Possess a valid driver’s license. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs. Strict adherence to job site safety programs, as well as ongoing safety training. A license or certificate in maintenance or construction field preferred. Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively communicate with an influence effective decision making. Ability to build and maintain budgets and department costs. Education and Experience: Two (2+) years leading a maintenance team to include hiring, evaluating, and coaching. Five (5) years experience in supervision. High School diploma with certifications in maintenance field preferred. Knowledge of mechanical systems concerning HVAC, electrical, lighting, and plumbing. Understanding of local, state, and federal codes and regulations. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings. Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions. |
