Why this job matters
This position leads and inspires the EVS team to create a clean, inviting environment that delights our guests and supports our colleagues. By overseeing daily cleaning, light maintenance, and general upkeep, you ensure every corner of the resort feels safe, polished, and ready to welcome guests. In addition, you partner with the Director of Facilities to manage key aspects of property maintenance and departmental operations, helping the team deliver seamless, high-quality service every day.
What you bring to the table
- Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
- Leads, supports, and motivates a team of Environmental Services Technicians to deliver exceptional cleanliness and presentation across all resort areas.
- Supports the EVS team in directing, coordinating, and overseeing the daily activities, ensuring seamless operations.
- Serves as a working supervisor-leading by example and performing cleaning duties when needed to meet standards and timelines.
- Manages inventory levels, ensuring supplies and equipment are stocked, issued, and maintained in good working condition.
- Inspects cleaning equipment after use to identify maintenance or repair needs.
- Schedules and assigns tasks to employees, performs quality assurance checks, and completes weekly cycle cleaning inspections.
- Reviews completed work for consistency with department standards, maintaining a sharp eye for detail and guest readiness.
- Explores new cleaning tools, equipment, and methods, making thoughtful recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Maintains accurate records for department supplies, equipment, and projects.
- Promotes a culture of safety by communicating and enforcing company policies and safety regulations.
- Evaluates and upholds departmental policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure consistent quality and safety standards.
- Encourages and supports staff development through ongoing coaching, training, and recognition.
- Analyzes and resolves work challenges with a positive, team-focused approach.
- Maintains time, production, and project cost records, and assists in the development of departmental budgets.
- Collaborates with other department supervisors to ensure smooth operations and alignment across all areas of the resort.
- Communicates company policies to team members and enforces safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Helps establish and maintain preventative maintenance programs for all equipment, adjusting workflows to meet production schedules.
- Recommends, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures to uphold safety, quality, and department standards.
- Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

- Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- One (1) year previous supervisory experience in a custodial environment highly preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to guests, vendors or employees.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Experience with Microsoft office.
- Must have a valid Oregon driver's license with the ability to be insured through the Company's policy.
- Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.
