EVS Trainer / Food Services-UPMC Central PA

UPMC is hiring a full-time EVS Trainer, Nutrition/Food Services, to help support the training and regulatory compliance of the Nutrition/Food Services, designated locations. The hours of this position will vary, depending on the needs of the Department. The Trainer will assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating all training of new hires and follow departmental standards regarding onboarding and training expectations, in accordance to provide quality nutrition and food services to patients.

Responsibilities:

• When training responsibilities are not needed, will perform normal daily activities of departmental specific position responsibilities.

• Completes 3 Continuing Education credits from Life Solutions Skill Builder Courses Annually.

• Attend quarterly system meetings with partnering Food and Nutrition Departments, involving the training program.

• Assist with conducting routine check-ins following the Food and Nutrition Retention Program

• Communicate with department leadership on the progress of new hire training, during training process.

• Assists in conducting Peer Interviews and Job Shadowing

• Identify areas of opportunity and assists with action plan creation to improve the overall training process.

• Assist with retention and engagement initiatives.

• Facilitate all training of new hires.

• Assist with design, development, maintenance, and management of training and other learning events/programs.

• HS Diploma/GED required

• Two years of relevant experience

• Demonstrates UPMC Values, Behaviors, and Standards in accordance with the UPMC Experience

• Completes Food Handler/Safe Serv Certification

• Reliable Transportation is required.
