Advertising/Posting Title Exam Proctoring Support Specialist Posting Summary

The Exam Proctoring Center (EPC) Support Specialist plays an essential role in advancing equitable access for students with disabilities by coordinating and delivering exam accommodations in a responsive, student-centered environment. This position supports the daily operations of the EPC, working closely with students, faculty, and colleagues across Student Accessibility Services and the Office of Accessibility Services to ensure that accommodations are implemented accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

In this role, the EPC Support Specialist manages the scheduling and administration of accommodated exams, maintains accurate records using systems such as RegisterBlast and Accommodate, and helps ensure the smooth coordination of staffing, space, and technology required for testing. The position also includes supervising and developing a team of student and temporary staff, contributing to a professional and supportive work environment. Through ongoing collaboration with faculty and campus partners, the EPC Support Specialist helps resolve logistical challenges, improve processes, and maintain a high standard of service delivery.

This is a dynamic role for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to fostering a welcoming and accessible environment. The EPC Support Specialist contributes to a collaborative team effort to remove barriers and enhance access, making a meaningful impact on student success within a mission-driven office.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Associate degree and a minimum of two to three years of relevant experience in an office setting, human services, higher education, or a related field required. Demonstrated experience and competency in accessibility services and/or working directly with individuals with disabilities. Proficiency with word processing, relevant technologies, adaptive software, and database management systems required.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills required. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with close attention to detail and a demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality, are essential. Commitment to serving diverse populations is required, along with demonstrated engagement in multiculturally competent and accessible practices. Proven ability to contribute to and sustain a collaborative and inclusive work environment is required.

Ability to learn, troubleshoot, and support testing technologies, assistive technologies, and related software applications.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information in accordance with FERPA and applicable university policies.

Ability to work in-person five days per week.
