Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain excavators, ensuring the precise excavation and movement of materials on construction sites. Key Responsibilities: Equipment Operation: Safely and skillfully operate excavators to perform excavation, digging, trenching, and grading tasks as required by project plans and specifications. Safety: Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures, ensuring the safety of yourself and your team at all times. Maintenance: Conduct routine equipment maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, and reporting any equipment issues to the maintenance department. Efficiency: Maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency while operating excavators, contributing to project timelines and goals. Quality Control: Ensure the quality of excavation work meets project standards and specifications. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate excavation activities and ensure project success. Communication: Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors, reporting progress, challenges, and equipment issues as necessary. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about and adhere to all relevant regulations, safety guidelines, and industry best practices. Problem Solving: Identify and address any operational challenges or issues that may arise during excavation work. Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including daily equipment inspection reports and work logs. Qualifications: Proven experience as an Excavator - Heavy Equipment Operator in the heavy civil construction industry. Proficiency in operating and maintaining excavators. Knowledge of construction plans, blueprints, and excavation techniques. Strong commitment to safety and strict adherence to safety protocols. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
