EXCAVATOR OPERATOR

Excavator Operator / Railcar Unloader

We are seeking experienced and dependable Excavator Operators and Railcar Unloaders to join our team. This is a traveling position requiring overnight travel, significant schedule flexibility, and regular overtime. Candidates must be available to respond to changing project needs, locations, and work schedules.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators
• Load and unload aggregate from railcars.
• Travel to various job sites, including frequent overnight stays.
• Work extended hours and overtime based on operational needs.
• Remain flexible regarding schedules, assignments, and jobsite locations.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
• Complete basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical or safety concerns.
• Follow all company, railroad, and jobsite safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work effectively with supervisors, railroad personnel, drivers, and other team members.
• Complete required operational and safety documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous excavators operating or railcar unloading experience is required.
• Must be willing and able to travel overnight.
• Must have significant scheduling flexibility.
• Must be available to work substantial overtime, including extended shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to surroundings.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass all required background checks, drug screenings, and employment requirements.
