Qualifications:

48 College Credits or an Associate's Degree or passed the State Title I Paraprofessional Test

Transcripts issued outside the United States must be evaluated by a recognized, accredited credential evaluation service to determine U.S. equivalency

Excellent communication skills with teachers and students

Provide instructional reinforcement of academic skills and content

Assist teachers in providing interventions for students to meet educational, academic, and social goals

Ability to work on a team to support student academic and behavioral needs

Hourly rate $21.50 per hour

It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations.
