Summary

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and other senior leaders, in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Cozad Community Health System.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the CEO and/or other assigned leadership staff.
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents for senior leaders.
  • Arranges travel and accommodations for leaders.
  • Schedules and attends meetings on behalf of senior leaders, taking notes, and recording minutes. Specifically Board Meetings, Med Staff meetings, and Department Head meetings.
  • Receives incoming communication or memos on behalf of senior leaders, reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff.
  • Follows all HIPAA guidelines and promotes and ensures patient safety.
  • Fulfills mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive and professional environment.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. At least two years of related experience required. Successful candidates will have extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems; excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; and ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Licensure/Certification

Basic Life Support (CPR)

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of patients, employees, community members, and board members.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Cozad Community Health System

Community Health Systems, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) 330 HRSA Grantee with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. Established from the roots of Inland Empire Community Health Center in Bloomington, CHSI has grown with community health centers in the counties of Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego. These centers have been developed in accordance with standards established for safety net providers by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC).
