The Executive Administrative Assistant provides advanced administrative and coordination support to the President & Chief Executive Officer for BASF Corporation and to the BASF Board member responsible for North America. This role is a trusted administrative partner to executive leadership, enabling focus, efficiency, and execution of key priorities. In alignment with BASF's values and commitment to operational excellence, the position requires sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage complex workflows and competing demands while operating within defined policies and guidelines.

This position is part of a job family with multiple levels and will be filled at a level that is commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.

During your shift as a Executive Administrative Assistant, you will

  • Provide senior-level administrative support to executive leadership, including complex calendar management, travel coordination, meeting logistics, and executive communications.
  • Serve as an administrative gatekeeper and liaison, coordinating information flow and logistics across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Independently assess priorities and make day-to-day administrative decisions within established guidelines to resolve scheduling conflicts, escalate issues appropriately, and support effective executive workflows.
  • Prepare, format, and coordinate executive-level presentations, reports, correspondence, and meeting materials with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information in accordance with BASF policies, legal requirements, and data privacy standards, while anticipating administrative and operational needs to proactively support executive effectiveness and business continuity.
  • Coordinate executive and Board-related meetings, including logistics, materials preparation, and follow-up actions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with senior leaders and administrative colleagues to support collaboration and alignment across BASF, while also supporting executive-led initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain flexibility to support executive leadership needs across time zones, including limited work outside standard business hours in accordance with non-exempt timekeeping policies.
If you...
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience, along with 7-10+ years of executive or senior-level administrative experience, preferably supporting senior or C-suite leaders in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to exercise strong independent judgment, including handling confidential company matters and appropriately escalating issues when needed.
  • Possess advanced organizational, planning, communication, and follow-through skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • Have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Are a proactive self-starter who can anticipate administrative and operational needs.
  • Have intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams, and can quickly learn new systems and tools.
  • Have experience working in a highly confidential and fast-paced environment.
