Executive Aide, Office of Student Services, College of Nursing

The ETSU College of Nursing, Office of Student Services invites applications for a full-time Executive Aide.

The Executive Aide serves as the first point of contact for students, faculty, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office. This position manages front-desk communications, supports advising and student services activities, maintains databases and records, and assists with event coordination and operational tasks. The Executive Aide also provides backup support to other administrative staff, contributing to the efficient functioning of the college's programs and services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency in computer software, including the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel).
• Knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional use of business English.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated administrative support abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
• Ability to develop, maintain, and manage personnel, financial, and academic records and documents.
• Capacity to organize work, set priorities, and handle complex or confidential assignments.
• Consistent professionalism in appearance, demeanor, and interactions.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of secretarial office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The College of Nursing is part of the University's Academic Health Sciences Center, which also includes the James H. Quillen College of Medicine, the Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, the College of Public Health, and the College of Health Sciences.
