Position Summary: This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Performs a broad range of duties for the Chief Medical Officer to include; Composes and types routine reports and correspondence from handwritten materials, dictation or responds independently. Coordinates and maintains calendar of events as well as schedules routine appointments. Schedules and arranges meetings (locally and nationally), luncheons as well as collaborate in projects and presentations . Answers, screens and direct telephone calls and responds to routine inquiries. Arranges travel schedules and accommodations as necessary. Establishes and maintain files regarding correspondence, memorandums, and other reports as required.
When need arises, will perform other secretarial duties as assigned.

II. Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A
B. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. BA or BS degree in business/communication or related field preferred.
C. Experience: Minimum 5 years secretarial/administrative experience preferred. Previous healthcare experience a plus
D. Special Qualifications: Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, management, senior management, and physicians. Must be proficient in with Power Point, Excel, and Access Computer skills. Must have project management skills, meeting planning, facilitation, and presentation skills. Must have ability to anticipate problems and work effectively and independently to resolve issues. Ability to prioritize schedules, tasks, and needs or the Chief Medical Officer.
