MITRE's Center for Securing the Homeland (CSH) is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Vice President. This role is responsible for the efficient and proactive management of all operational and administrative functions for the CSH Office, while upholding the highest professional standards. As part of the Public Sector team, the Executive Assistant will regularly collaborate on SVP and VP calendar management, events, sector priorities, and other activities that support Public Sector objectives and corporate goals. The ideal candidate has, within the last two years, provided executive-level administrative support to senior leaders in a large organization.
This position is onsite full-time in McLean, VA. Candidate must be local to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, including complex calendar management, meeting coordination, and inbox management.
Demonstrated ability to independently use and troubleshoot current mobile, desktop, and virtual meeting technologies (e.g., Apple devices such as iPhone, Mac, iPad; Microsoft Teams; Zoom; VTC systems).
Ability to work on-site in McLean, VA, Monday-Friday, with flexibility to provide occasional off-hours support.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with expense management software (e.g., Concur).
Experience with Workday or similar HR/enterprise systems.
Prior experience supporting C-suite or senior executives in a fast-paced environment.
5 + years of experience supporting C Suite level executives
Demonstrated poise, professionalism, tact, and discretion when working under time pressure with highly sensitive information and a wide range of stakeholders (corporate executives, government officials, customers, employees, and support personnel).
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships across teams and levels.
Strong independent judgment, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail, with consistent follow-through on a broad range of administrative tasks.
Strong self-organization and time management skills, with a high degree of initiative and the ability to prioritize competing demands.
Exceptional organizational skills and a project-management mindset toward managing office responsibilities and recurring processes.
High-energy self-starter who operates effectively in evolving situations with limited information.
Exercises sound judgment to move work forward autonomously when explicit guidance is not provided.
