The Executive Assistant to Legal Services is a highly responsible and trusted administrative professional who provides direct, confidential, and comprehensive support to the General Counsel and executive-level support to the Directors of Courts and Customer Services. As a critical member of the Legal Services team, this position ensures the effective coordination of legal and operational priorities, supports litigation-related matters, and advances organizational initiatives through professional communication, accurate documentation, and seamless administrative continuity.

Serving as the first point of contact on sensitive legal and administrative matters, it is essential for this role to demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in all interactions. Core responsibilities include coordinating complex schedules and travel logistics, preparing and reviewing legal and executive documentation, supporting litigation coordination with the County Attorney's Office, and maintaining accurate records of action items, deadlines, and follow-ups. The position also provides proactive scheduling support and advance notifications to ensure the General Counsel and Directors are fully prepared to participate in meetings and calls—whether in person, virtually, or by telephone. Operating with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, confidential environment, this role performs a broad range of advanced administrative responsibilities while serving as the designated backup to the Executive Assistant to the Clerk and Comptroller and the Executive Assistant to the COO, ensuring continuity of executive and legal administrative support during planned and unplanned absences.

Education:

Required:                     High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:                    Associate’s degree.

Relevant Field:            Office Administration, Business, Communications, English or a related field from an accredited institution.

Relevant Experience:

Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative or executive-level support experience in a professional, highly regulated, or public-sector environment, including experience coordinating executive schedules, preparing confidential correspondence and documentation, managing records, and exercising sound judgment while handling sensitive information. Preference will be given to candidates with experience supporting legal services, government operations, litigation coordination, public records administration, or executive leadership within a governmental or legal environment.
