JOB SUMMARY: The Executive Assistant serves as the trusted administrative and operational partner to the Executive Director of the NDSCS Alumni Foundation. This position provides executive-level support while ensuring the efficient coordination of the Foundations daily operations, Board governance activities, executive communications, and strategic initiatives.
More than a traditional administrative professional, the Executive Assistant anticipates needs, manages priorities, removes obstacles, and creates organizational efficiency. The position serves as an extension of the Executive Director, exercising sound judgment, maintaining absolute confidentiality, and representing the Foundation with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
The Executive Assistant plays a vital role in enabling the Executive Director to maximize time spent leading the Foundation, building relationships with alumni and donors, supporting the Board of Directors, and advancing the Foundations mission.
Minimum Requirements
Associates degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
Minimum three years of progressively responsible executive administrative experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
Ability to exercise independent judgement and maintain confidentiality
Valid drivers license
Demonstrated executive presence
Strong organizational and planning skills
Proven ability to take initiative
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Provide exceptional customer service
Flexible and adaptable
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree
Higher education, nonprofit, or advancement experience
Experience supporting governing boards
Experience with Bloomerang or similar CRM
Event coordination experience
Additional Information
SALARY: $49,000-$56,000, commensurate with education and experience
BENEFITS: NDSCS offers a comprehensive benefits package with an estimated value of over $25,000. The package includes single or family health insurance coverage with premiums paid for by the College - with an effective date for new employees the first of the month following the date of hire.
