Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, discretion, attention to detail, and advanced proficiency with office technologies. Demonstrated ability to prepare executive-level correspondence, reports, presentations, and confidential documents.nnPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree from an accredited institution. Five to ten years of experience in higher education administration, executive support, presidential operations, board relations, or a related field. Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment, exercising independent judgment, managing competing priorities, solving complex problems, and leading special projects with minimal supervision. Experience supporting senior executives, governing boards, donors, elected officials, and external stakeholders is highly desirable.nnPROBATIONARY PERIOD:nEmployment in this position is subject to a six (6) month probationary period. During this period, the employee's performance and suitability for the position will be formally assessed. The President and/or designated supervisor may recommend continuation, extension of the probationary period, reassignment, or separation from employment based upon performance, conduct, attendance, and overall effectiveness. Successful completion of the probationary period does not constitute a guarantee of continued employment or alter the employee's at-will employment status.nnPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:n1. Serve as the principal administrative and operational support professional to the President, ensuring the efficient and effective management of the Office of the President.n2. Manage the President's complex calendar, appointments, meetings, travel arrangements, and scheduling priorities.n3. Act as a trusted liaison between the President and internal and external constituents, including trustees, faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors, elected officials, and community leaders.n4. Screen and prioritize communications, correspondence, visitors, and requests for presidential engagement.n5. Draft, edit, proofread, and coordinate executive correspondence, reports, presentations, speeches, memoranda, and strategic communications.n6. Maintain highly confidential records, files, and information with discretion and professionalism.n7. Coordinate all arrangements, materials, logistics, and communications related to Board of Trustees meetings and committees as assigned.n8. Take and transcribe minutes of Board meetings and other executive meetings as directed by the President.n9. Coordinate presidential events, donor meetings, community engagements, commencements, and institutional ceremonies.n10. Conduct research, compile data, and prepare executive briefings and background materials to support presidential decision-making.n11. Manage and execute special projects, strategic initiatives, and institutional priorities assigned by the President.n12. Monitor project timelines, coordinate across divisions, and ensure timely completion of executive assignments.n13. Anticipate operational challenges, recommend solutions, and proactively address issues before they escalate.n14. Process purchase requisitions, travel authorizations, expense reports, and related administrative transactions.n15. Supervise, train, and evaluate student workers and assigned support personnel.n16. Represent the Office of the President with professionalism, diplomacy, sound judgment, and exceptional customer service.n17.
