At Electric Power Systems (EPS), we design and deliver advanced energy storage systems that power the next generation of defense, flight and transportation. Guided by our mission to advance, connect, and protect our world through unmatched energy innovation, we are building the future of mobility, and investing in the people who will lead it.
This is not a traditional Executive Assistant role. The Executive Business Partner to the CEO is a high-impact position designed for someone seeking visibility, ownership, and a pathway into future leadership opportunities at EPS. You will work at the center of the organization, partnering directly with the CEO to drive alignment, execution, and communication across the business. For the right candidate, this role serves as a launchpad into broader operational or leadership roles within a rapidly growing company.
Position Overview As the Executive Business Partner to the CEO, you will act as a trusted advisor and operational partner, ensuring the CEO's time, focus, and priorities align with company objectives. You will own executive operations end-to-end, including calendar strategy, meeting preparation, stakeholder coordination, and follow-through on key initiatives. You will also support executive communications and marketing efforts, helping maintain consistency in messaging internally and externally.
This role requires strong judgment, discretion, and initiative. You will anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and bring structure to a fast-paced environment. Success depends on your ability to operate beyond task execution and contribute to how the business runs.
What You'll Do You will manage the CEO's daily operations with a focus on efficiency and outcomes, including a complex calendar, meeting preparation, and travel coordination. You will track priorities, action items, and deliverables to ensure alignment and execution across initiatives.
You will serve as a key communication partner, drafting and managing correspondence on behalf of the CEO while improving clarity across the organization. You will also support marketing and external efforts, including presentations, stakeholder communications, and executive messaging. This includes helping maintain the CEO's professional presence and coordinating trade shows or external events (up to 15% travel).
Additionally, you will build and improve systems that enhance how work gets done. This includes organizing information, streamlining workflows, and proactively identifying and solving inefficiencies for the CEO and executive team.
What We're Looking For We are seeking a highly organized, proactive professional with strong business judgment and the ability to operate independently. You should have a bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience supporting senior executives (CEO-level preferred). Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential.
You should be comfortable working cross-functionally, navigating ambiguity, and maintaining confidentiality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, etc.) is required, along with the ability to thrive in a high-growth environment.
Preferred qualifications include an MBA or advanced degree, experience in a startup, aerospace, or technology environment, and familiarity with executive communications, marketing support, or operational tracking systems such as OKRs.
Why This Role is Different This role is intentionally designed to provide exposure to strategic decision-making, cross-functional leadership, and company-wide initiatives. You won't just support the business-you will help shape how it operates. If you are looking for a role that accelerates your career and positions you for future leadership within EPS, this is it.
