The Executive Chef leads all aspects of dining services operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation and service for residents. This role oversees menu development, culinary execution, sanitation compliance and team leadership while managing budgets and food costs in alignment with Sunrise quality standards.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead all food production, presentation and menu planning
  • Develop seasonal menus aligned with Sunrise and regulatory standards
  • Oversee purchasing, vendor relationships and cost control
  • Ensure proper portioning, quality, plating and service timing
  • Maintain HACCP standards and food safety compliance
  • Monitor sanitation logs, temperature records and kitchen procedures
  • Support special events, banquets and catering operations
  • Engage with residents to gather feedback and enhance dining experience
  • Manage departmental budgets, labor and financial performance
  • Recruit, train, coach and develop dining services team members
  • Partner with community leadership to support resident satisfaction goals

What We're Looking For:

  • Culinary degree or certification required
  • Minimum 3 years as Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • 2+ years leadership and supervisory experience
  • Current Food Service Sanitation certification
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets
  • Budget management and cost control experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences for seniors

Pay Range:

55,328.00 - 73,840.00
