We are seeking a full-time Executive Chef to join our team at The Forum at Tucson in Tucson, Arizona. Your Role
The Executive Chef plans, directs, and oversees all culinary operations for the community, ensuring high-quality meals that meet resident preferences, dietary needs, and Stellar standards.
- Plan and execute resident menus, including special diets, holiday and themed meals
- Lead, schedule, and train the culinary team (sous chef, cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers)
- Prepare and serve attractive, nutritious meals in an organized manner
- Maintain food cost, labor, and inventory within budget
- Order food and supplies; manage vendor relationships and deliveries
- Ensure compliance with all food health and safety regulations and Stellar policies
- Partner with the Dining Room Supervisor and Executive Director on resident satisfaction and dining experience
- Engage with residents and families to gather feedback and tailor the menu to the community
Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive culinary leadership experience; senior living, healthcare, or high-volume hospitality preferred
- Certified Food Protection Manager credential through an ANSI-CFP accredited program (e.g., ServSafe Manager, NRFSP, Prometric, StateFoodSafety) — current or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Experience with special diets and meal preparation for large groups
- Proven ability to manage food cost, labor, and inventory
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
