Amazon"s global cross channel, cross category marketing team (XCM) is seeking an Executive Creative Director to drive the strategic creative vision for Amazon"s brand voice and develop fully integrated marketing experiences across all channels and touch points. This senior leadership role combines large scale creative thinking with executive-level strategic oversight, leading large-scale initiatives that span multiple departments and have company-wide impact.

This is a modern, AI forward art director who can be a taste maker for the organization. As the ideal candidate, you are a creative leader with deep expertise in visual design, art direction, and creative execution who can inspire and direct both internal teams and external creative resources, effectively pitch and align senior leadership to transformative ideas, and work seamlessly across marketing, merchandising, and product development programs. This role requires someone who can unify strategy and execution across all mediums while providing strategic guidance to diverse creative, editorial, and production teams.

Strategic Creative Leadership

  • Develop and champion Amazon"s overarching creative vision and brand strategy across global markets
  • Lead enterprise-level creative initiatives that drive significant business impact and customer engagement
  • Partner with executives to align creative strategy with business objectives
  • Establish creative standards and frameworks that influence company-wide marketing approaches
  • Drive innovation in creative processes and methodologies across the organization

Full-Funnel Creative Strategy

  • Design integrated creative approaches that guide customers through complete journey from discovery to purchase
  • Balance brand-building creative with performance-driven content to optimize both awareness and conversion objectives
  • Develop creative frameworks that scale from premium brand moments to social-native, always-on content strategies
  • Orchestrate creative collaboration between internal teams and external agency partners to maximize creative impact and efficiency

Art Direction & Creative Vision

  • Lead art direction and visual design strategy across all marketing touch points and brand expressions
  • Conceptualize and oversee execution of large-scale, multi-platform creative campaigns with strong visual storytelling
  • Lead strategic design and content marketing projects presenting complex multidisciplinary challenges
  • Direct visual identity, typography, color systems, and design language that defines Amazon"s creative expression

Organizational Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing creative teams across multiple disciplines, with emphasis on art direction and design talent
