Child Foundation (CF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children through education and humanitarian support. Operating in international contexts, with strong ties to Iranian community and global network of donors, CF ensures children have access to safe learning environments, health resources, and life-changing opportunities. CF is a small nonprofit organization with a lean team.
Position Summary
The Executive Director is responsible for advancing the organization’s mission through fundraising growth, operational management and compliance with nonprofit and regulatory requirements.
This role requires a leader, fluent in Farsi and English, who can grow donor engagement, lead a small operations team and strengthen marketing and communications strategies.
The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors, staff, donors, community partners, and volunteers to expand the organization’s impact and ensures long-term sustainability.
Location: Remote / United States (with occasional travel as needed)

Reports to: Board of Directors
Key Responsibilities
- Management & Operational Leadership
- Execute CF’s strategic priorities including short, medium and long-term goals
- Drive organizational growth while maintaining mission alignment
- Lead the existing team and foster a collaborative culture
- Oversee day-to-day operations and resource allocation across a lean staff
- Fundraising & Donor Growth
- Grow donor base while strengthening retention of existing donors
- Build and maintain relationships with individual donors, sponsors, and corporate partners
- Develop and execute growth-oriented fundraising campaigns and partnerships
- Expand and diversify revenue streams to support long-term sustainability
- Marketing & Outreach
- Lead brand awareness, donor communications, and digital fundraising initiatives
- Strengthening the organization’s visibility and community presence
- Serve as the primary ambassador and spokesperson for CF
- Governance & Compliance
- Partner closely with the Board of Directors to support governance and strategic direction
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations, reporting requirements and internal policies
- Maintain transparency and accountability in operational activities
- Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage he annual budget
- Oversee financial performance and resources within the approved budget
- Provide regular financial report to the Board of Directors
The ideal candidate is an executive operational leader with the following attributes.
- Proven success in fundraising, donor development, and revenue growth
- Executive leadership experience in nonprofit or similar organization
- Experienced in leading small operations teams
- Strategic mindset in marketing, outreach, and partnerships management
- Strong operational, compliance and financial oversight capabilities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Passion for humanitarian causes especially improving lives of children and their families
- Fluency in Farsi is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree in business or related field is desired
Compensation
- Salary: $135,000-$150,000
