A top-tier global financial institution is seeking a seasoned credit and risk leader to head its Investment Fund and Client Portfolio team in New York City. This role blends strategic team leadership, client engagement, and hands-on credit oversight, providing an opportunity to drive portfolio performance while managing a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the client portfolio team, establishing strategy, assigning goals, and monitoring performance to meet organizational objectives.
Build and maintain client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and promote financial products and services to institutional clients.
Oversee credit due diligence, transaction analysis, and approval processes, ensuring accurate assessments, regulatory compliance, and timely execution.
Own and manage portfolio risk as the first line of defense, monitoring transactions, covenants, and credit quality, while escalating issues appropriately.
Supervise post-disbursement processes including loan classification, KYC reviews, and follow-up on non-performing facilities.
Ensure the team adheres to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of risk awareness.
Allocate resources effectively, mentor team members, provide training, and cover responsibilities during team capacity gaps.
Support remediation and risk management initiatives, collaborating across departments to implement improvements.
Prepare reports, business research, and materials for senior management, ensuring timely communication of insights and outcomes.
