Department: Dean''s Office Bauer College Salary: Commensurate with Experience/Education

Description:

Develops, plans, and implements strategic plan to build and strengthen relationships between the College and targeted companies with the goal of furthering the College''s academic mission through industry partnerships. Fosters partnerships that enhance student opportunities, applied research, and other strategic collaborations aligned with the college''s mission. This position is not responsible for philanthropic fundraising.

1. Develops and implements a strategic operating plan for corporate engagement of business industry partners, ensuring a coordinated, high-quality engagement experience across the college. Targeted businesses will include major corporations to small businesses and community organizations.

2. Works with the Dean and faculty to identify, prioritize and coordinate partnership opportunities with companies. Collaborates with academic departments, centers, faculty, Career Services, and college leadership to align corporate partnerships with academic priorities and industry trends.

3. Works collaboratively with leadership in other college units including Career Services, Executive Education and Alumni Relations to ensure that employer, alumni, and executive education opportunities are shared across functions to maximize institutional impact, strengthen long-term partnerships, and present a unified College approach to external engagement.

4. Maintains a strategic annual business plan, ensuring that metrics are achieved and goals are met. Tracks partnership activity, analyzes outcomes, and maintains performance metrics related to corporate engagement, academic opportunities, and strategic partnerships.

5. Develops long-term partnership strategies that create mutual value for both corporate partners and College through talent development, thought leadership, research collaboration, and industry engagement.

6. Represents College at corporate, industry, alumni, and community events to strengthen the college''s visibility and relationships with business leaders.

7. Provides strategic oversight of budgets, contracts, and personnel supporting corporate engagement initiatives, and reviews proposals, reports, and other communications to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with organizational objectives.

8. Collaborates with college and university units to coordinate and align corporate relationships while sustaining meaningful engagement activities.

9. Performs other job duties as required.

Additional Position Information

Preferences: 10 years of applicable experience in a leadership role.

MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
