    License and Certification Qualifications:

    • Must hold or be eligible for a valid Georgia Educator's Certificate in Educational Leadership Required
    • Certification in Instructional Technology Preferred

    Education Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in related field Required
    • Specialist's Degree in related field Preferred
    • Doctoral Degree in related field Preferred

    Experience Qualifications:

    • 10 years experience in educational technology innovation Required
    • 10 years experience in leadership at the district and/or school level Required

    Skills Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated ability to design, lead, and supervise district-wide, K-12 instructional technology initiatives that promote innovation and align with the district's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
    • Skilled in fostering strong cross-divisional and cross-departmental collaboration.
    • Demonstrated success in building relationships and effective teams to promote adoption, meaningful use, and continuous improvement of instructional technologies.
    • Expertise in evaluating, selecting, procuring, and integrating instructional technologies.
    • Capable of developing and supporting library media services, professional learning programs, and training initiatives that build capacity and enhance productivity and/or teaching and learning.
    • Possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and advanced organizational and problem-solving capabilities.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Provide strategic leadership, vision, and support for the design, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the district's comprehensive Instructional Technology plan and Library Media programs.

    • Provide executive-level leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for all departments within Instructional Technology and Innovation, ensuring alignment with the district's mission, vision, strategic priorities, and instructional focus.
    • Collaborate cross-divisionally and cross-departmentally to plan, design, implement, and evaluate innovative instructional technologies that support productivity, curriculum initiatives, and instructional practices.
    • Communicate effectively, clearly, and in a timely manner with all stakeholders using a variety of communication methods, such as face-to-face meetings, written correspondence, email, phone calls, presentations, and digital platforms, to ensure transparency, shared understanding, and alignment.
    • Establish and lead the district-wide vision and direction for the learning management system, digital learning platforms and applications, and library media programs to ensure consistency, effectiveness, and instructional impact.
    • Maintain expert-level knowledge of research-based instructional technology best practices that positively influence staff productivity, teaching effectiveness, and student learning outcomes.
    • Stay informed of emerging trends, innovations, and developments in instructional technology and library media programs through continuous professional engagement, including participation in relevant conferences, professional organizations, and review of industry publications.
    • Serve as an ambassador for GCPS instructional technology and innovation by sharing the district's vision, strategies, and outcomes with external stakeholders through conference presentations, participation in regional, state, and national professional organizations, collaboration with peer districts, and/or engagement with education and technology partners.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor Technology and Innovation goals, Operational Management Plans (OMPs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of instructional technology and library media programs.
    • Lead the adoption and effective utilization of technologies and digital resources by establishing clear expectations, providing strategic guidance, and using data analytics to monitor usage, evaluate impact, and assess return on investment (ROI) to inform evidence-based decision-making and resource allocation.
    • Lead and support continuous improvement across all departmental processes and practices to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and stakeholder satisfaction.
    • Provide strategic oversight and fiscal management of the Department of Instructional Technology and Innovation budget, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources and alignment with district priorities.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidelines related to instructional technology. Lead the development, implementation, periodic review, and/or recommendation of updates to relevant district technology policies, procedures, and guidelines.
