Position Purpose
Leads the districtwide planning, execution, and performance management of K?12 Mathematics and Science to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction across all campuses. Directly oversees curriculum design and writing, lesson internalization systems, and instructional delivery aligned to the district's Instructional Framework and high-quality instructional materials (HQIM). Establishes and manages clear performance expectations to drive a high-performance culture across the department. Ensures tight coherence across curriculum, assessment, professional learning, and instructional supports to deliver measurable gains in student outcomes and meet state accountability expectations. Builds and executes systems that enable teachers, assistant principals, and principals to internalize and deliver rigorous, grade-level instruction with fidelity, ensuring equitable access and strong results for all students.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Math, Education, or related field required.
Master's degree from accredited college or university preferred.
Certificate/License:
Valid Texas Teaching Certification in the area of Science or Math preferred
Valid Texas Mid-Management or Principal Certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in education or a related field, including a combination of classroom, campus, central office, and/or nonprofit leadership experience required.
Demonstrated leadership experience at the campus, district, or organizational level (e.g., Principal, Assistant Principal, Director, Coordinator, Instructional Coach, or similar roles), with responsibility for leading teams and driving instructional or program implementation required.
Demonstrated and verifiable track record of improving student outcomes aligned to rigorous academic standards and state accountability systems required.
Experience in Mathematics and/or Science instruction, curriculum design, instructional systems, or a closely related function required.
Experience working with diverse student populations, particularly in a large, urban school district preferred.
