About the Role:

As Executive Director, North American Light Olefins (NALO) Research & Analysis, you will be responsible for leading Dow Jones Energy’s NALO service and directing a research staff to provide insight into market dynamics associated with ethylene, propylene, and associated feedstocks. You will lead the NALO business for strategic growth, provide ongoing commercial management, and serve as the primary focal point for North American ethylene and propylene markets. You will report to the Vice President - Head of Olefins Research.

You Will:

• Lead the NALO business for strategic growth by developing and managing business plans, budgets, and goals while directing and mentoring a team of research analysts
• Deliver ongoing analysis of olefins markets and steam cracker economics, providing unbiased leadership, forecast methodologies, and written content for monthly and annual publications
• Nurture client relationships, pursue speaking engagements to market organizational capabilities, and coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and cross-workflow business lines to facilitate business growth

You Have:

• 15+ years’ professional work experience in the petrochemical industry - with significant experience in sales, trading, purchasing, supply-chain, and/or olefins production
• Deep chemical industry knowledge and commercial familiarity with market dynamics across key product areas, including ethane, propane, butane, ethylene, propylene, and downstream olefins derivatives
• Proven experience managing direct reports and mentoring junior to mid-level research analysts
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with VBA and/or Python knowledge
• Broad experience in refining operations (a plus)
• An undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, a technical or other  related discipline -OR- equivalent experience

Base Pay Range: $220,000 - $270,000

We’re committed to offering competitive and flexible compensation to attract top talent. This pay range reflects our good faith estimate for the role and may vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.

For bonus-eligible roles, targets are determined based on multiple considerations, including market benchmarks and individual contributions.
