Executive Director - Hospice

Summary

Full Spectrum Search Group is a full-service healthcare recruiting agency specializing in post-acute leadership and healthcare administration. We are seeking an experienced Executive Director in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for one of our hospice clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the overall direction and day-to-day hospice operations
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards
• Drive operational planning, budgeting, and financial performance initiatives
• Monitor business operations to maintain financial stability and operational efficiency
• Lead, mentor, and develop clinical and administrative staff
• Ensure adequate staffing, staff supervision, orientation, and continuing education
• Evaluate hospice services and personnel using measurable outcomes and objectives
• Manage conflict resolution, complaint handling, and patient satisfaction initiatives
• Ensure interdisciplinary collaboration and comprehensive patient care delivery
• Direct staff in admissions, discharges, transfers, revocations, and service coordination
• Monitor service utilization and ensure appropriate authorization of contracted services
• Collaborate with agencies, vendors, and leadership to optimize hospice operations
• Ensure staff remain current with hospice regulations, clinical practices, and industry trends
• Maintain ethical business and clinical practices across all operations
• Provide operational updates and performance reports to the Governing Body

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
• 3–5 years of healthcare management or hospice leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of Medicare Hospice Certification and hospice regulations
• Proven ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel
• Understanding of hospice care and interdisciplinary service delivery
• Experience managing operational budgets and organizational performance
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
