    Job Description

    As a Higher Education Executive Advisor (EEA), you are a passionate leader who understands the education (Higher Education and Academic Research) environment, the trends impacting these industries, and have the ability to support strategic education initiatives.

    In this role, you will be an influencer, thought leader, and storyteller with the ability to develop relationships, build community, execute at speed, and develop and deliver rich thought leadership content. By leveraging your deep understanding of higher education and strong knowledge of the education industry, you will educate, inspire and motivate transformational change at the senior leadership level. You will strive to make an impact for students and faculty and the administration by advocating for transformational change through technology and will help our customers achieve their business outcomes by leveraging the richness of the AWS cloud computing platform to drive the right business solutions, enable the technology ecosystem supporting these areas, and address the changing needs of the institution. In this role, you will work closely with higher education sales executives as part of a collaborative team.

    The ideal candidate will have both higher education leadership and an understanding of how technology can drive change in an institution with demonstrated experience engaging and earning customer trust at the CxO/VP level. They should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership is a must.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Serve as a key member of the Education & SLG Vertical team to drive overall adoption of the cloud through thought leadership
    • Provide coaching and guidance to education executives on strategy, technology, and governance that can improve their cloud readiness and accelerate adoption.
    • Stay abreast of changes across the education market and shape emerging trends into quantifiable solutions and present and develop thought leadership and other industry specific content.
    • Help customers build business strategy and change management plans and advise them through the operationalization of the plan.
    • Present business reviews and provide escalation material to the senior management team regarding our customers' success and identify roadblocks to customer success and expanding AWS' reach in the industry.
