A private household based in Atherton, California is seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Executive Housekeeper to elevate and standardize household operations across multiple residences. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a background in ultra-luxury hospitality who can implement systems, enforce five-star European-level standards, and lead by example. The successful candidate will play a key role in transforming an already established team into a highly efficient, polished, and service-driven operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all housekeeping operations across multiple residences
  • Develop and implement: Detailed cleaning protocols, Standard operating procedures, and Comprehensive house manual.
  • Establish and maintain consistently high presentation and cleanliness standards throughout all interior and exterior living spaces
  • Train, supervise, and mentor housekeeping staff to ensure excellence and efficiency
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure all work meets established expectations
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief of Staff and Estate Manager to ensure seamless household operations
  • Maintain organization, inventory, and proper care of household items, and furnishings.
  • Assist with and execute light household projects and organizational improvements
  • Travel between properties as needed to ensure consistency across all locations
 

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within a private household or ultra-luxury hospitality environment
  • Strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in high-end hotels or resorts (five-star plus service standards)
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement systems, procedures, and operational structures
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards
  • Experience managing and training staff with a focus on accountability and performance
  • Discreet, professional, and service-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to travel between multiple properties as required
