Summary:

As our Executive Meetings Manager, you’ll drive guest room and food & beverage revenue while creating experiences that feel more like a getaway than a meeting. We’re looking for someone who blends business with an easy sense of laid-back luxury. 

You’ll build relationships, bring in new business, and keep past clients coming back for another round. Understanding the rhythm of hotel operations—from F&B to guest services—is key, along with delivering top-tier service that makes every guest feel like they’ve landed in paradise. 

You’ll focus on booking groups and crafting memorable meetings and helping us hit our goals while keeping the vibe just right. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year hotel sales experience.
  • Understanding of negotiation and interpretation of group sales contracts.
  • Can execute and support Hotel’s Brand Standards.
  • Business communication skills written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and other employees.
  • Professional appearance and confidence.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding/knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Experience with Delphi is preferred.
  • Time management skills. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prospect for potential clients and solicit new and repeat business through cold calling, telemarketing, lead follow up, telemarketing, referrals, internet prospecting, site tours, sales blitz activity, and other means deemed appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key corporate, business and travel industry personnel and accounts. 
  • Prepares and executes group sales contracts, banquet event orders and group resumes to ensure quality service and product delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Plans, up-sells and coordinates group rooms and function specifics with clients to include group room block management, function space requirements and layout, meeting times, audio-visual equipment, menus, billing, etc.
  • Contribute to development and implementation of creative sales strategies by analyzing historical, current and future hotel/market/account trends.
  • Effectively communicates details and requirements for groups and events both internally and externally via written and verbal communication. 
  • Performs special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sales.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships.

  • Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Director of Sales.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Effectively evaluate each assigned piece of business based on dates, and space requirements.
  • Use networking ‘social media for business’ tools such as LinkedIn to research existing & potential accounts, and develop new contacts for the hotel.
  • Participate in training, trade shows, field trips and community, industry and professional organizations to maintain high visibility in support of the achievement of sales and revenue goals.
  • Answer and handle incoming calls for service/sales/catering.
  • Report all unsafe conditions immediately.

 Performance Standards:

  • QUALITY: Know the department operating standards and consistently meet those standards. Understand and measure expected results for department including setting up and maintaining approved filing systems, trace systems, keeping clients information organized according to standards, etc. Meet deadlines and respond leads in a timely manner.
  • MANAGING THE BUSINESS: Understand the hotel’s group segments, and sources of business for each. Know the principle competition for assigned segment and leverage hotel’s relative strengths against it. Meet or exceed established revenue goals, new leads, contracts and number of weekly sales calls. Maintain effective involvement with key community organizations. Demonstrate effective sales skills to obtain maximum profits.
