Position Overview:

International Motors is seeking a Director, Executive Recruiting, to lead executive hiring for Director, VP, SVP, and EVP roles across the enterprise.

 

This is a highly visible role for a recruiter who operates as a true executive talent advisor. You will partner directly with senior business leaders to shape executive search strategy, assess leadership talent, bring external market insight to the table, and help the company make stronger, faster, and more confident leadership decisions.

 

This role is not about high requisition volume. It is about the quality of executive hiring decisions, the credibility of the search process, and the ability to identify leaders who can perform at scale and strengthen enterprise capability over time.

 

This role directly improves the company’s leadership quality by helping International Motors identify and secure the right executives for critical roles. Success in this position will improve executive hiring quality, reduce dependency on external search firms, strengthen leadership pipeline visibility, and support better enterprise decision-making.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead executive searches for Director through EVP roles across the enterprise
  • Partner with senior leaders to define success profiles, search strategy, and candidate criteria
  • Build strong executive candidate slates and guide leaders through informed, high-quality selection decisions
  • Assess candidates for leadership capability, fit, readiness, risk, and long-term potential
  • Bring credible market intelligence on talent availability, competition, compensation, and search timing
  • Advise leaders on trade-offs, organizational implications, and hiring risk
  • Build internal executive search capability and reduce reliance on external firms for repeatable searches
  • Partner with Executive Compensation and HR leaders to support well-governed executive offers
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and executive candidate care throughout the process
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 13 years of human resources experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • Master's degree and at least 11 years of human resources experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience

OR

  • At least 16 years of human resources experience
  • At least 2 years of lead experience
Additional Requirements:
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills:
  • Significant experience leading executive searches at Director level and above
  • Proven success in large, complex, matrixed organizations
  • Strong business acumen and comfort operating with senior executives
  • Ability to assess executive talent beyond résumé fit, including leadership readiness, risk, and long-term scalability
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and executive presence
  • Experience influencing high-level stakeholders and managing confidential searches
